Lessons in effectiveness
************
A mildly related tidbit:
There is nothing more inconsequential than one who is completely inconsequential, knows he is inconsequential and finds safety in it.
There is nothing more consequential than who is completely inconsequential, believes he is inconsequential and chooses to act differently.

The Past 48 Hours
Got up.
Got breakfast.
Wrote some lyrics/rambling.
Recorded with Tim.
Wrote/played with Zak and Polo.
Went to see Julian play.
Stayed for a Brooklyn Huey Lewis (thanks Steve) interspersed with some Guitar Hero band in the back room.
Went to sleep.
Got up.
Wrote some lyrics/rambling.
Worked on some textures for my futuristic indie space opera with Daniel.
Went to church choir practice.
Ate a home-cooked meal (thanks Sandy).
Went to a salon/poetry reading to see William and his string trio.
Stayed for a Brooklyn Bob Dylan.
Went to William's house and watched his documentary/music multimedia performance project.
And finally...waited less than 5 minutes for the G train!
Repeat
Wondering if I am:
running away from
avoiding
or onto
something.
Spend the days
creative gaze
one day strayed
into work that paid.
(or got him laid)
Sorry, it rhymed.
You say so little when you say so much.

Ricardo is My Hero! (see previous post)
Yesterday I received a facebook message from a guy named Ricardo.
Subject: If you're missing your music-playing thing
Body: I found it.
Ricardo came to my house tonight after he finished work and brought me my iPod, which he found on Friday night on the floor of 151 Rivington. Someone either accidentally picked up or stole my coat and the iPod must have fallen out.
Turns out he his also friends with Zain, who I know (and who wasn't there that evening).
This after spending the night in question at my friend Nikki's (who went to college with my high school friend Bethany) birthday party and meeting her friend from school Ty, who showed up with his roommate Blake, who lived basically right next door to me for a year, and who both work with several of the kids I crashed with when I first moved back to New York two years ago.
When did the city/world get so small?
And ps why is my life starting to sound like a Sex and the City episode (minus the sex)?
I love human creatures.
